Terms of Use

These Terms are the agreement between you and GetNort, the company that runs the Nort™ service (here called "Nort"). By creating your account and checking the acceptance box, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to everything here and to the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Nort.

1. What Nort is

Nort is a software tool that organizes your resume in English, writes application letters and sends those applications, from your own Gmail, to employers that posted H-2A and H-2B jobs on the U.S. Department of Labor's public list (seasonaljobs.dol.gov).

2. What Nort is not

• Nort is not an employment agency, recruiter, employer, visa agent, immigration consultancy or law firm. Nort does not represent the U.S. government, the Department of Labor, any consulate or any employer, and has no affiliation with them.
• Nort does not give legal or immigration advice. For that, consult a licensed professional.

3. Who can use Nort

• You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into contracts.
• Your account is personal and non-transferable: one account per person, with true information about you.

4. Your responsibilities

• Provide true, complete and up-to-date information. Nort only reorganizes what you tell it; it does not invent experience and is not responsible for false information you provide.
• Review and approve your resume and letters before anything is sent. Applications are sent in your name, from your email, and are your responsibility.
• Check every offer before accepting it: the case number on the official DOL website, the employer, the wage and the conditions.
• Never pay anyone to be hired. In H-2 jobs, employers and recruiters cannot charge workers any fee. If someone asks for money, do not pay and tell Nort.
• Comply with the laws of Brazil, your country and the U.S., including immigration and labor laws.
• Keep your account and Gmail secure, and tell Nort if you suspect misuse.

5. Authorization to send from your Gmail

• By connecting Gmail, you authorize Nort to send emails on your behalf, only for the applications you approved. Nort does not read, search or delete messages in your inbox.
• You can pause sending or withdraw the authorization at any time, in your Nort account or in your Google Account settings.

6. What Nort does not guarantee

• Nort does not guarantee replies, interviews, hiring, visas, wages, start dates or working conditions. Employers decide who they hire, and U.S. consulates decide on visas.
• Jobs come from public U.S. government data and may change, be filled or close at any time. Nort does not verify employers beyond what appears in the public record.
• Email delivery depends on Gmail and on employers' servers. The service may be unavailable during maintenance or third-party outages.

7. Text written with artificial intelligence

Resumes, letters and translations are generated with the help of artificial intelligence from your information and may contain errors. That is why your review and approval are required before sending.

8. Plans, payments, cancellation and refunds

• The free plan includes 5 applications per week. Prices for paid plans and extra packs are on the pricing page. You pay for the tool, never for a job.
• Plans are charged in advance. By card, they renew automatically each cycle until you cancel; by Pix, you pay each cycle whenever you want to continue. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the cycle already paid.
• You have 7 days from purchase to change your mind and get a full refund (right of withdrawal, art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code).
• Extra packs are valid for the period shown on each one (30, 60 or 90 days). Unused sends do not roll over to the next cycle and, after the withdrawal period, are not refunded.
• Payments are processed by providers such as Mercado Pago and Stripe, under their own terms. Nort does not store card numbers.

9. Prohibited use

You may not use Nort to: send spam or applications outside H-2 jobs; impersonate someone else; provide false information; create more than one account; get around sending limits; copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service; access the system through unauthorized automated means; or for any illegal activity.

10. Suspension and termination

• Nort may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, show signs of fraud or put other users, employers or the service at risk.
• You can close your account and delete your data at any time in "My account".

11. Intellectual property

The Nort™ brand and the service's software, design and texts belong to GetNort. Your content (data, history and resume) remains yours: you grant Nort only the license needed to run the service, such as generating and sending your applications.

12. Limitation of liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nort is not liable for: decisions by employers, consulates or authorities; scams, fees or promises made by third parties; lost opportunities, lost profits or indirect damages; failures of Gmail, providers or the internet; or consequences of false information you provided.
• Where Nort is liable, its liability is limited to the amount you paid Nort in the 12 months before the event. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that the law guarantees and that cannot be waived.

13. Indemnification

You agree to compensate Nort for losses caused by false information you provide, misuse of the tool, or violation of the law or these Terms.

14. Communications

Nort contacts you by email and through in-app notices. Important notices about your account and these Terms are sent to your registered email.

15. Changes to these Terms

Nort may update these Terms. Material changes are announced at least 15 days in advance and require your new acceptance. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the changes take effect.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law. For consumers, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction. In all other cases, the courts where Nort is based are chosen.

17. General provisions

If any clause is found invalid, the others remain in effect. Not enforcing a right at one time does not mean waiving it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Nort about the service.
